sawylA pleasant evening run with R ahead of the Great North Run at the weekend. Prior to setting out, we tried to sort out her just giving account — actually her sister's — and for one reason and another, we were completely unable to find the right page.
The run itself was nice: a gentle route through town, up and down a couple of the hills and through some shady side streets, and on down to the river. Going round the river, we met Donna who was out walking her dog. After chatting for a while, R said, "That's so cute: she's called Donna and her dog is called Blitzen..." At which point I kicked myself for not spotting the connection earlier!
We stopped off at the climbing centre — the women's loos on the other side of the river were closed — and carried on down to the bridge before looping back and, instead of going along Barrack Road, we went back through St Leonards and home.
