Mooching around Manchester
Sep. 9th, 2006 06:39 pmGood flight from Exeter to Manchester in a delightfully tiny plane. I arrived fairly early and spent the day mooching around Manchester, checking out the shops, lingering over a long lunch and generally killing time.
I was really impressed with the Deansgate Waterstones — the SF department was particularly good with loads of US imports and the comic book section had a good range of stuff available. It was only with the greatest restraint that I limited myself to buying a copy of Darwin's Dangerous Idea by Dan Dennett.
Since I'm off at dawn again tomorrow, I'm off to bed.
