Not looking my age?

I can't really criticise, being deeply appalling at judging ages, but over the last couple of weeks I've met a number of people who've completely misjudged my age. I've been asked several times if I'm student — a bit demeaning given that most of the students currently thranging the town look about twelve — and today, when someone asked me how old I was, they thought I was winding them up when I told them.

Maybe this explains why no-one takes me seriously.

Almost everyone in Exeter is long haired and smelly. It's that sort of town. In fact, you can close your eyes and navigate your way around the centre by the smell of patchouli from the hippy stores.
