Schadenfreude
Sep. 18th, 2005 10:18 amAn amusingly bad review of Revolver from you-know-where. The bit that got me followed on from a paragraph which compared Swept Away to 18th Century dental work:
...after Revolver, Swept Away now looks like Citizen Kane. Ritchie's new film lands on cinema-goers' collective head like a sack of wet sand.
In other news, it looks like grovel aren't convinced that the world needs an X-Files comic:
The X-Files is a classic example of an ingenious TV show flogged to death by its owner's innate desire to keep the money rolling in long after the bubble has burst. Certainly, selling the licence to all comers regardless of the suspected quality of what they're likely to produce is, in our book at least, nothing more than indirectly shafting your core market for more cash.
As Julian and Sandy would say were they ever to meet anyone involved with the X-Files, "Oooh, they've got your number duckie!"
