Ghibli does Le Guin
May. 2nd, 2006 07:30 pmThe other day, I happened across this video file but I couldn't seem to be bothered to work out how to view it on the Mac — yeah, I know, I'm probably being lazy about it but hey, it's my life and I can be lazy if I want to be.
Anyway, it turns out I needn't have worried for
drspleen, channeling the spirit of kiasu no doubt, has done the necessary scut work and turned up a puff piece and a plot summary. Rather than using A Wizard as the basis of the plot, it looks like Ghibli are going with The Farthest Shore, the one with all the cool stuff about death and the Dry Land instead. Talk about serious potential for greatness.
