Climb down over expenses

Good to see that the government have backed down over MP's expenses. I'm sorry, but if you're paid out of the public purse, it's entirely right and proper that you account for your spending accurately. If government departments are required to do it in the interests of minimising waste and obtaining best value for the taxpayer, then surely it's reasonable to expect MPs follow suit...
