A reunion of sorts

My day of cycling and book-buying — China Mieville's Kraken, which isn't officially out until next week — was topped off with a reunion of the old gang and retread of our usual routines of pubs and pizzas. Everyone was on their best behaviour, a good time was had by all, and, because some of the others had miles to go and all that, I managed to get home before dropping dead of tiredness. But it was definitely a close run thing; I think I spent the last half-hour or so doing nothing but yawning and trying to keep my eyes propped open. I certainly can't remember much of the conversation (I'm shamelessly retroconning this).

Let's hope we don't allow quite so much time to pass until the next get-together.
