Der Erlkönig

Still suffering with the bruises from Saturday's close encounter, I've also now gone down with a cold. So instead of any real content — no bad thing, given my almost total lack of coherence — here's the peerless Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau in Schubert's magnificently creepy Der Erlkönig:

The way Fischer-Dieskau differentiates the voices of the narrator, the father, the son and the Erl-king is nothing short of amazing.
