Catalogue d'oiseaux

Today's catelogue of ornithological encounters:

• Pigeons, both feral and wood; because they're everywhere
• Herring gulls, including one eating a packet of Roquefort!
• Crows
• Wagtails
• Moorhens
• Blue tits
• Blackbirds
• Chaffinches; the males were particularly striking
• House martins

Plus various other species I spotted whilst out cycling, but passed to quickly to identify, and I'm still not quite sure whether the birds down by the river are swallows or martins...

ETA: They're swallows. One zipped around me while I was out cycling, giving me a good view of it's white underside and it's solidly dark upper, confirming that it definitely wasn't a martin.
