Ship shape again

A whirlwind of domestic activity with washing & cleaning & laundering & cooking like a person possessed. I even vacuumed & dusted the communal hallway because no-one else was going to do it and there didn't seem a lot of point in cleaning my place only to be forever tracking much in from the hall. I did not, however, scrub the front step; because one has to draw a line somewhere.

I also managed to take care of all my outstanding financial and bureaucratic chores, although I decided to put off arranging my annual round of sight tests until I'd settled my plans for the next few weeks — I didn't want to book them for a time when I was going to be away or busy with something else.

I now feel postively shiny and virtuous.
