Officially bright eyed
Dec. 5th, 2013 11:58 amGot a clean bill of health from the eye people this morning. Not a great surprise — I hadn't noticed any problems — but it's always nice to get confirmation.
The optician was particularly pleased to find that I had nice, easily accessible eyes — "the biggest pupils I've seen all week" — and that there was absolutely no evidence that I'd been wearing contact lenses, even though I'd only taken them out for my consult with the specialist an hour earlier. (The contact lens consultant was similarly pleased even though I'd deliberately worn month-old lenses; I said that I knew they generally preferred to see them at their filthiest, which made her laugh)
Amusingly the optician also told me that he thought I needed to take a holiday, even though I'd mentioned that I'd just had a couple of weeks off. He claimed to have diagnosed this from my eyes, but I suspect it may have been because he found me asleep in the waiting area. In my defence, there was quite a long gap between my appointments and I was tired & it seemed like a good way to combat the boredom of waiting.
