Success comes at a price
Apr. 2nd, 2014 08:28 pmA short evening of bouldering to work off the trifle from last night — as R said, "Finally we've found something that you eat more of than me!" — which I spent working to put together the elements of a problem along the roof. After coming very close a few times I finally got the whole sequence down, waited for five minutes to build up a bit of strength and went through the whole thing in one very smooth go.
Annoyingly, during the final send I picked up a flapper on my left hand — not a bad one and not in the place I'd've expected — but it's still something I'd rather not have got. Luckily, I'm in a position to take things easy this week — just as well, given all the problems I'm having with my ribs and shoulder after Sunday's over-enthusiasm — so hopefully it'll be OK if I just tape it up ahead of my next session.
