Twenty-seventh parkrun

Marked the 100th Exeter parkrun by knocking 21 seconds off my PB, finishing in 20:14 and first in my age category. Milling around at the start, I bumped into S, whom I hadn't seen since in ages — largely because she moved to Southampton a couple of years ago.

The pace was pretty punishing at the start and I think we reached the 2K point within six minutes. Fortunately it dropped back to something a bit more sustainable after we switched to running on the field, but it was obviously enough to carry me through to a good time.

A quick round of bouldering

Finished the afternoon off with a quick round of bouldering this afternoon that saw me finish a bunch of projects. I made light work of a short 6b problem where I'd misread a crimp as a pinch. I sorted a couple of routes under the roof which I'd previously messed up because I hadn't wanted to commit to an uncomfortable heel hook. I also, very much to my surprise, given that I don't usually jump for anything, sent a route with a big sideways dyno on the second move. Excelsior!
