Twenty-seventh parkrun
Jul. 9th, 2016 11:10 amMarked the 100th Exeter parkrun by knocking 21 seconds off my PB, finishing in 20:14 and first in my age category. Milling around at the start, I bumped into S, whom I hadn't seen since in ages — largely because she moved to Southampton a couple of years ago.
The pace was pretty punishing at the start and I think we reached the 2K point within six minutes. Fortunately it dropped back to something a bit more sustainable after we switched to running on the field, but it was obviously enough to carry me through to a good time.
