Alsop's Verdi Requiem

Catching up with the last few proms, which I missed before I went away, I've been particularly struck by Marin Alsop's excellent performance of Verdi's Requiem. The soloists were particularly well suited to one another, with Morris Robinson a real revelation and Tamara Wilson every bit as wonderful in Verdi as she was in Wagner way back at the beginning of the season.
