Blood of the Daleks
Dec. 31st, 2006 07:08 pmI'm very positive about BBC7's Blood of the Daleks. It's great addition to the Dr Who radio cannon.
It was nice to hear the Daleks toning down their language in an attempt to persuade the citizens of Red Rocket Rising that they didn't mean them any harm. I particularly liked the way one of them caught itself just as it was about to say, "exterminate", and, after a brief pause, said that the Doctor was to be extradited to the custody of the Daleks. The language they used to describe the Doctor's crimes was also crunchily in line with their goal of spinning a Big Lie: they called him a terrorist and insurgent, and declared that he was a criminal, guilty of genocide against them. All very contemporary.
