My own moment of confusion

Following my rude comments about the confusion of other yesterday, it seems I might have been suffering from a certain amount of befuddlement of my own: according to my optician, my new contacts had been waiting for collection since January, but I'm pretty sure I haven't been wearing the same pair for three months. I'm sure I'd have noticed something like that. Wouldn't I?
