Essay on Personhood
Mar. 13th, 2007 09:18 pmI'm happy to report that my essay on Peter Strawson's Freedom and Resentment appears, finally, to be pulling itself together. While I like the central idea of his monograph — it's a neat tactic to argue that the emotional and moral frameworks that govern human interactions will continue to exist, regardless of a theoretical, intellectual, commitment to Determinism — I'm not convinced that it gives sufficient grounds for defining personhood. Now all I have to do is write it up. For Friday.
Yikes.
