Bedroom behaviours
Mar. 27th, 2007 10:08 pmFrankly, I find this latter unlikely, given that it is at odds with the immortal wisdom of Hadley Freeman, who sayeth:
Tidiness is a beautiful quality in a man, to be sure. And certainly, it takes a special kind of lady who has been persuaded to accompany a gentleman back to his, only to be greeted with a living room a-swill with old Chinese takeaway cartons, a duvet riddled with cigarette burns...
The rest of the article, which pointed out the myriad faults of men who tuck their pyjama tops into their trousers, staggered me. I was astonished to learn that (a) people still wear pyjamas and (b) some of the men who do, tuck their tops in. How anal must these people be? Too uptight to sleep in the altogether, too hypersensitive about appearance to risk the possibility of trews and jacket parting company even for an instant, they must surely be the most neurotic of peoples.
I strongly suspect a disproportion number of my colleagues at the Menagerie of cleaving to this appalling habit.
