Wasting my bank holiday

I've spent a slighly odd day swapping between two very disparate books: Naomi Novik's Empire of Ivory and John Rawls' A Theory of Justice. Talk about cognitive dissonance. I've also spent the day with Sine Nomine by Vaughan Williams, something I don't think I've heard since I left school, stuck in my head. I would blame Saturday's documentary, but they chose Down Ampney for their hymn tune, so I guess I'll just have to put it down as yet another example of brain weirdness...
