Lords give 42 days a kicking

Its good to see the government's 42 days legislation being given a drubbing in the Lords. Given last week's threat to use anti-terrorism legislation against Icelandic businesses in order to reclaim cash lost during the credit crisis, it's all to apparent that our politicians need to exercise considerable care when ceding authority to the state for the purposes of fighting terrorism.
