Carrot hummus

sawylFinally found the time to try out HFWs recipe for roast carrot hummus from last Saturday's Guardian. And wow, but it's good: the balance of the carrots with the orange juice and the tahini with the garlic is spot on.
I'm not sure that it's going to replace chickpea hummus as a staple, given the minor fuss of roasting the carrots versus ease of opening a tin — yes, I know it's wrong to use tinned chickpeas but I'm too lazy/disorganised to cook the real things ahead of time — but it's so nice that I can see it becoming a weekend favourite...
