An quiet evening out

This evenings visit to The Fat Pig wasn't quite as successful as it might have been: the pub was busier than expected, thanks to the presence of a group of singers heartily knocking out sea shanties and broadside ballards. I think we'd have stayed and enjoyed them if we hadn't wanted to catch up, but in the end we swiftly knocked back our drinks and disappeared in search of the quieter ambience of the Côte brasserie in the cathedral yard.
