Another earlier than expected start, thanks to a dawn visit for my niece on her way home from an all-night party. I'm not entirely sure why she came round — although it's probably because she wanted to sober up a bit before facing her dad! — but I'm glad she did because it allowed me to slot in a run before the weather got substantially worse.

The rest of the day was a bit of a washout — strong winds and lashing rain — but that didn't stop mater going on the community association walk. Not that they went any great distance — just a tour of the local woods ending up at the City Arms — but it's still more than I was willing to do.
