After a busy and surprisingly productive day — I'm usually at my best when I've got clear deadlines for things — I slipped off early to go the Quay. The place was surprisingly busy for a midweek afternoon and we were both tired — still feeling the aftereffects of Sunday, in my case — but we still put in a good effort, even if some things felt far harder than they ought to have been. But on the plus side, my bouldering paid off and R was mildly impressed with my gecko-like way with the problems I'd been working on even if I did rather undermine myself by falling off...
