Italian night quiz
Sep. 30th, 2014 10:59 pmVery creditable second place in the Quay's Italian night quiz, finishing half a point behind the winners despite fielding an understrength team — only R & I managed to make it. Early on in the proceedings I said that I thought I might be a bit of nerd and R was so amused that it'd taken me this long to realise that she commemorated it on a napkin:

In addition to having to answer a fiendishly tricky set of questions on Italy — we were alright on art, food and general knowledge, but not so hot on cars! — we also had to make a mafia themed sculpture out of play-doh. Completely lacking any form of artistic talent, I let R take the lead and she came up with an extremely good gangster's moll:

The food, as aways, was fantastic: arancini balls, ravioli and very, very delicious baked thing whose name I didn't catch with pancetta ravioli for the carnivores, and slices of pizza on top of everything else. I may never eat again. Kudos to Anne-Marie and Chef Paul for making it such a great night!
