More boulders
Nov. 11th, 2014 05:11 pmSuccessfully managed to tick a few more things off my score sheet, a couple as flashes, a few on second attempts and a couple of others for quiet singles. My favourite was a problem with two shallow triangular volumes which looked hard at a first glance, but which actually turned out to be pretty easy: a guppy over the top of one of the volumes to get through the crux and a big rockover for the last move.
I also managed to crack one of the higher numbered problems with a bit of beta from J to help me get through the crux: instead of reaching all the way out right for the next hold, I bumped straight up and matched before going out right, making the whole thing much easier. Obviously it's not how the problem has been set, but for those of us without enough reach, it's either that or commit to doing it with a dyno.
