Picking up spares

Enjoyable afternoon of bouldering, even though I only picked up two points for the two problems I completed having blown my initial chances. The first problem started out with an unchallenging bit of roof work only to end with a horrible crux: using a truly nasty sloper and some trickily placed footholds to get past a large hemispherical volume to finish with another sloper. The other was relatively straight forward but I fluffed the start twice — a potentially finger destroying crack — and then mis-read the crux, killing my chances of any real points.

There are a few other problems I thought I might potentially be able to flash, but I decided to save them for a day when I was fresh to give myself a fighting chance...
