Routes with K

sawylFun evening of bouldering and climbing with K after a day of less than successful attempt to implement something we've been trying to implement for the best part of a year.
I managed to impress early successfully on-sighting a route that was rated 6b, but was almost certainly a grade or two higher. It was interesting, highly technical climb where all the holds were screw-on fragments, so tiny it was barely possible to get two fingers on them, with a combination of precise footwork, matches on almost nothing, with awkward knee drops and smears for stability.
We then climbed some real 6bs, smashing them easily, before wrapping up with a beefy 6c which I failed to flash after misreading one on of the moves up an overhang — I failed to realise that getting my right foot on a hold made the next move much easier — by which point I was too pumped to manage the pull-up. After a bit of hangdogging and shaking out, I cruised the top section, making me suspect that if I hadn't been right at the end of a three hour session, I'd've sent it without any real trouble. Not that it'd've been a good send: watching K do it, I realised I'd brute forced a couple of the moves, bumping a foot for a high step or laying back on things that I probably could've done more elegantly. But it got me up. Well, almost.
