Not the greatest training run ever...
Apr. 30th, 2016 08:18 pmI've been trying to get back into running seriously again, now that the worst of my knee problems seem to be on the mend. But this evening I had one of those annoying sesions where everything feels off and it's a real struggle to keep going.
Despite feeling a bit out of sorts, things started off normally. But around the point where I'd expect to find myself fully warmed up and able to start drawing on my reserves, nothing seemed to change and I still felt as though I was struggling. I pushed myself round one of my usual routes, chopping off the difficult bits, but the whole thing was slog and when I tried to draw on my reserves for the hills, it felt like the tank was empty
I suppose it's good that I've been active enough this week to have actually tired myself out, but it's still annoying when these things happen: I could've had a good run, but instead I got stuck that I really didn't enjoy at all.
