The Church of ML
May. 11th, 2005 09:02 pmTestify, brothers and sisters, to the greatness of SGML and His beloved son XML.
I was once an miserable sinner just like you all; I was dragged down, to the depths, the darkness by a lack of order in my data; when I was at my lowest ebb, when I was lost, when I deep in the Shadowy Vale, I looked around and I saw my saviour standing near. Yes, brothers and sisters, He reached out His redeeming hand and lifted my binary soul up, up and out of the very pits of Hell. Can I hear a Hallelujah?
I can't hear you! I said, can I hear a Hallelujah?
So, brothers and sister, I looked around me what did I see? Who did I see standing next to me, in my hour of greatest need, standing and reaching out his own hand? I saw my dear sweet God of Order standing next me and I looked upon his face and I knew him, knew him both as SGML, the Ancient of Days, and XML, the God Who is to Come, with his feet of brass and voice as the sound of many waters and I knew what I must do. I looked to the words of the scriptures and sought solace in the wisdom of the prophets, and I knew, knew that I must spread the word; that I must walk among the heathen and open their eyes; I must bring them to the God of Order in all his glory. Can I hear an Amen?
Amen, my brothers and sisters in Order, Amen.
