More flood defence work

Out for a run this evening, I almost bumped into a big section of chainlink fencing running across the normal path through Riverside Valley Park. It transpired that, as part of the next round of flood defence work, a section of grass between the canal and the existing spillway had been closed off. Not sure how long it's going to be there for; there were signs which said it might be fore 11 weeks, but I'm pretty sure the previous work took longer than expected, so who knows...
