sawylComputing must be only area where you can include a licence that says something like, "The implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are disclaimed." That's so cool.
A few years back, I spent half a day hacking up a script to plot out the amount of free space on a particular file system. I didn't do this out of altruism, I did it so that the the two guys who looked after said space wouldn't come into my office ever 10 minutes and bug me senseless, but realising that these things have a nasty way of growing and becoming more widely used (especially by Management) I had the cunning foresight to include the disclaimer "Note: These pages are NOT operationally supported and should not be considered definitive" along with the graphs.
As a result of this prescience, I now find myself in the happy position of being able to dismiss any requests for a fix or an enhancement with the words of the disclaimer. Probably just as well - the last time I looked at the source code, it looked like pure line noise...
