Forty-eighth parkrun
Dec. 24th, 2016 10:30 amTough run this morning, with a finishing time of 20:35. Not entirely unexpected. I did a couple of long, quite fast training runs mid-week and reserves have felt low ever since. I started to feel the first signs of fatigue during the first kilometre — in my defence I'd done a 2.5K warm-up before the start — and spent entire rest of the run gritting my teeth, forcing myself round, and trying to avoid embarrassment.
After getting scanned, I went back out to meet D and Dasher who were out at the martial point just past the bridge. Dasher had apparently been quite well behaved — she only went chasing off once! — and looked extremely cute in her little winter jumper. She's getting quite good at following along at heel and she does a very cute thing where she looks up at D for direction as they're going along — although D says that she only does it because she wants a treat and yesterday she walked into a lamppost because she was more interested in food than in where she was going.
