Day of mishaps

Had one of those days where nothing really seemed to go right today. First I accidentally chopped the system away, frying the SAN fabric on the existing system in the process. Then I realised that I've left all my OU paperwork at home, so instead of being able nip round the corner to the post office in Glassface Lane, I was forced to spend my lunch break rushing around town. I just about managed to get back in time for an interview, which seemed to go ok but might actually have been a total catastrophe given the rest of the day, before discovering a serious fault in one of the NQS user exits — one that almost certainly needs to be fixed before I go on leave tomorrow...

Updated: Things actually got worse after I blogged this. I somehow managed to lose my last remaining left contact lens — I'd been compelled to put off my visit to the optician to pick up the latest batch because I was working late — forcing me to wear glasses for work. Talk about annoying.

I think I need a pre-holiday holiday in order to catch up on sleep first. As it is, I'll just have to make do with a holiday holiday...
