Fast reach down from Preveza town to the Levkas canal, in an attempt to make the 11am bridge — something we managed with a whole minute and a half to spare. We headed for One Tree Bay, so called because there are actually two oak trees, for lunch. The parents went swimming and, after encountering a stray teutonic turd, decided that perhaps their decision had been wrong and mine had been right.

After lunch we wandered over to Nikiana, where I got introduced to the Swimming Club — a gang of yatchies, all of a similar age, all currently involved with building their own houses in Greece. We met up with P&K for dinner at the local taverna, a place my parents go to so often that, when my pater asked for a menu, H the waitress said, "What do you need that for? You know the menu better than my mother!"

We also discussed the colossal Oyster 82 currently tied up to the key. Apparently it used to belong to Peter Davies, the Man From The Pru, but now belonged to an Italian family. Our general opinion was that it was would probably have cost around three mil second hand or closer to five new. When we mentioned this to H, she was stunned, but decided against buying it because she didn't think that blue was a sensible colour for Greece — too hot.
