In honour of today being Friday the 13th, here's a story someone told me about Paul Dirac: a visitor to Dirac's home was surprised to spot a lucky horse shoe on the wall. When asked about it, Dirac replied that he didn't believe in superstitions, but fortunately, the horse shoe worked regardless of whether he believed in it or not...
