Dogmatic slumbers
Jul. 28th, 2005 10:06 pmWhile discussing my colleagues' bureaucratic devotion to dogma, I remembered Murray Gell-Mann's sarcastic comment about Feymann's method of problem solving:
- Write down the problem
- Think very hard
- Write down the answer.
Maybe I should have quoted Popper: "Whenever a theory appears to you as the only possible one, take this as a sign that you have neither understood the theory nor the problem which it was intended to solve"
