Aug. 10th, 2007 07:52 pmFollowing on from yesterday's mention of Cockta, I notice that the Guardian food blog is attempting to find the world's best soft drink.
My vote would have to be for the Croatian bitter lemon I had in Montenegro. Despite claiming to be bitter lemon (in English, at least) it was actually a type of lemonade, albeit a rather traditional sort made with very little sugar. It had a nice crisp lemon taste and was absolutely perfect for cutting through the 40 degree heat of an Adriatic summer.
