Thirteen days before the mast

This letter, correcting an erroneous Guardian correction, conjures up a wonderful vision:

Your correction (September 1) states that Pete Doherty served 13 days in HMS (rather than HMP) Pentonville. Perhaps 13 days in the Royal Navy might have done him more good.
