Culinary confusion

My sister worked a double shift yesterday and, when she finally clocked off, she decided that she couldn't be bothered to cook. Rather than endure something from the chippy, she discovered that we had some stuff left over from supper and came round to finish it off. Knowing that mater had been at her Greek class and hadn't cooked, my sis pronounced favourably on the food saying, "That was really nice. My dad's the best cook in the world!"

Very sweet, but very wrong: pater hadn't had anything to do with the cooking — it was entirely the work of Yours Truly. On discovering this, she was, apparently, somewhat put out.
