doctor_squale, I now believe I understand the aetiology of my MPI problem. It seems that
doctor_squale, I now believe I understand the aetiology of my MPI problem. It seems that MPI_Comm_free() is a collective operation and thus it's invalid to call it with MPI_COMM_NULL, which seems fair enough to me now that I actually understand what's going on.
