A Snowcrash moment
Dec. 19th, 2006 06:25 pmReading today's internal memo on the malicious blocking of lavatories — covered by the gross misconduct rules in the manual, apparently — I was suddenly reminded of the fact that I really do work in Fedland. In particularly, I found myself thinking of the moment in Snowcrash when YT's mom is forced to read a long memo about the illegality of using the hyper-inflated dollar as lavatory paper and the rules governing any voluntary BTDU — bathroom tissue distribution units — pools that might be set up to provide cleaning resources for stricken workers.
Actually, I'm being unfair. I'm fully behind the investigation to track down the miscreant responsible for these acts of vandalism — no one wants to have to put with water-logged, unhygienic bathrooms if it can be helped.
