Hummus crisis

The current nationwide hummus shortage is getting ridiculous — I searched high and low but nowhere could I find my favourite staple. Time, perhaps, to buy a food processor and start making it at home.

Yikes! That's pretty worrying. It's not even as if hummus is a risky food. It's hardly soft cheese or rotting fish or raw animal flesh or something like that - the sort of stuff that you're not supposed to eat whilst pregnant.
