A good prom today: Rossini's Stabat Mater and, to open, Luciano Berio's Sinfonia — something that really captures the spirit of the late sixties. One minor strangeness: Penny Gore mentioning the Academy of Santa Cecilia's sponsor, no something that the Beeb usually do, relays from the Met aside ("Tonight's performance was made possible by the kind support of the Joseph P. Lightmoose Foundation, Mr. and Mrs. Angus Horseposture III, the Saltflower Benevolent Fellowship...")
