Fubared eyesight

My eyes are having a bad few days. Whilst out and about on Saturday, I managed to poke myself in eye and dislodged a contact. When I switched in a new set of lenses, made up to a more recent prescription, I discovered that the changes have made my distance vision quite a lot worse. On the plus side though, my close vision actually seems to have improved slightly and my monitor looks better than it has for a while. I'm going to go back and see my eye doctor next week but, if I have to choose between decent distance vision and slightly improved close vision, I don't know how I'm decide.
