Netatalk problems
Sep. 9th, 2007 07:26 pmI've done a bit of bug hunting and so far, I haven't been able to find a solution to my strange netatalk files going AWOL problem. I'm pretty sure the configuration is correct — I'm running with a virtually identical configuration on my BSD box and that works like a charm — so I wonder if the problem might actually be elsewhere like, say, Berkeley DB.
On the plus side, I've done a few tests with NFS and found that, despite its relatively poor performance when compared to AFP, it can stream video without any stuttering. That means I can rule out the network as a culprit and, if I can't get netatalk going properly, I've got a network file system I can fall back on.
