Front Entrance
You are standing on a path in front of a building. To your right is a
large glass facade, through which you can see a canteen. You can also
see a small ornamental lake and a keycard.
There is an exit leading west.

You are looking at a keycard. It is green with an unflattering photo
on the front.

You put the keycard in your bag

Reception
You are standing in a reception area. To your left, there are a couple of televisions
displaying random images and a set of doors leading to a library. You
can also see a small sofa, a cup full of dirty liquid and a security
gate.
There are exits leading west, east and south.

Your way west is blocked

You are looking at a security gate. It appears to bar your way west.

The card reader gives a beep. The gate in front of you swings slowly
open.

You are looking at a security gate. It stands wide open.

The Street
You are standing in a large atrium. You can also see a small stream
and a potted palm tree.
There are exits leading west and east.

Hopefully, the work that underlies this — a clean up of some of the data structures, a move to XML input files, etc. — should generalise, making it relatively painless to add in other actions. Which means that, with any luck, version 0.3 should allow for those twin staples of bureaucratic life: coffee drinking and Guardian reading.
