Late to a funeral

We weren't the last to arrive, but Bea and I were definitely late for today's funeral. It wasn't entirely our fault: poor route planning on the part of the satnav and a confusion over crematoria were the pricinpal causes of the delay. Fortunately, the chapel was packed out — standing room only, so we stood at the back — and no one seemed to mind.
