Oct. 21st, 2008 08:44 pmToday, the course covered system boot up and the implementation of the LVM. There were some fun exercises which involved fixing trashed boot logical volumes and, later, fixing JFS corruption and then correcting the contents of
inittab whilst running in a relatively limited single user mode — pretty straight forward for anyone used to the minimalist horrors of BSD single user.
