Keep watching the skies

After my bus got caught in a massive traffic jam caused by a crash at Polsloe Bridge, I walked the rest of the way home, putting me in just the right place to see Venus emerge from behind the moon. It was really spectacular, with Venus as a brilliant spark just moving clear of the bottom of the crescent and Jupiter just a few degrees above.

And to think that if I hadn't become bored with waiting and decided to walk I'd have misssed the whole thing.
